Did you know that in the United States, there is a certification that benefits the growth of small businesses? That's right! It's called Minority Certification. With it, your business can provide services to the government of Florida, counties, or cities, or sell products to them. Let's see how it works.

The program aims to promote business diversity and inclusion, offering competitive advantages to certified companies. Once certified, these businesses gain access to a broader market of potential clients, allowing them to expand operations, increase revenue, and contribute to economic growth and community development through government contracts or subcontracts.
To qualify for certification, a business must meet certain essential requirements. These include being legally registered and based in Florida, having owners and managers residing in the state, and having at least 51% of the company's ownership held by individuals from one of the following categories: women, veterans, Hispanic-Latinos, African Americans, Native Americans, among others.
Overall, the minority certification program in Florida plays a crucial role in promoting economic equity, diversity, and inclusion, creating opportunities for growth and professional development across various industries and sectors. The industries most benefited by Minority Certification include construction and development, food and hospitality, technology and IT services, professional services, manufacturing and supply chain, healthcare and wellness, financial services, transportation and logistics, retail and consumer goods, among others that we will address in future articles.
